2020 Boys Track & Field Season

Please read through the following announcements/reminders for the beginning of 2020 track season.

1. You need to sign-up for track with Coach Petersen either at lunch (at the head table) or stop in his office.

2. Practice will start on Wednesday, February 26th at 3:40 sharp in the North Gym. Anyone not in a sport currently will start that day if they plan on being out for track. If you are wrestling or playing basketball you will have 1 week from your last game until you are required to be at practice.

3. You need to have your physical and all forms filled out and turned into the office to participate on the first day.

4. If you have not started doing some running and you are not out for a winter sport it would be advisable to start doing some over the next two weeks. This is to help avoid injuries and get ourselves ready to be at our best. It takes a good 2-3 weeks to get into running shape so this would just be a start. All track athletes will need to have maxed out with Jake in the weight room before we start on the 26th.

5. Sign-up for my Remind if you haven't already. https://www.remind.com/join/rsb. This is how most of our info will come out so please make sure you are signed up.

6. Due to this being IOWA and the weather being crazy please plan on the following: Indoor gym clothes and GYM SHOES and outside clothes with outside running shoes. You need to be ready to do both each day until after spring break at the earliest.
