Week of March 20th

Here are the key announcements for this week:

1. We are now into our last two weeks of training before our first meet... Friday, March 31st.

2. Huge week for everyone as we are planning on time trials for Friday. This is the first chance at showing us what you can do.

3. We are going to try and be outside quite a bit this week. Temps are supposed to be in the low 40's on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday so please dress appropriately.

4. Hopefully everyone stayed in good shape last week because we will pick up the training right where we left off.

5. We will start to hit the "Specials" fairly hard starting this week but really next week and the rest of the season. Here is what we consider "Specials": Blocks, Handoffs, High Jump, Long Jump, 400 Low Hurdles, and Hurdles. This may require some extra time out of some of you guys that do these things. It will certainly mean that you will have to work on these things without a coach always present. All that means is those of you that want to actually be good you are going to put the work in that is needed.
